I love doing events at festivals, bookshops and libraries. There’s nothing like reading a story to a live audience and getting children to join in! My sessions usually end with interactive storytelling and a craft or drawing activity too.
Recent events include Bradford Literature Festival, the Isle of Wight Literary Festival, Waveney Kids’ Book Festival in Southwold, Somerset House and the Apple Store, as well as visits to some of my favourite independent bookshops such as Nomad Books, Pickled Pepper and Tales on Moon Lane.
You can hear me read my new story, The Boy Who Loved Everyone, at Pickled Pepper Books, Crouch End on Saturday 18th January at 11am, Alligator’s Mouth in Richmond on Saturday 25th January at 11.30am, and in Herne Hill for ‘Stepping into Stories’ at Station Hall, on Sunday 9th Feb at 10am. I will also be at Petworth House in Sussex for a special National Trust World Book Week celebration on Saturday 7th March, at 11am and 1pm, do come along!
Thankyou to Tales on Moon Lane for the photos above!
